New practice facility led to no practice facility for Shanahan

According to Woody Paige of the Denver Post, one of the significant reasons that former head coach of the Denver Broncos, Mike Shanahan, was fired earlier this year was because of the fact that he was demanding a new practice facility.

And Bowlen simply said, "no."

Mind you, the practice facility was restored just 5 years ago. And the practice facility is also named after Bowlen's deceased father, Paul.

This disagreement was the elementary stages of the conclusion of one of the greatest friendships ever in the history of sports. As time moved on, Shanahan went from Superbowl winning mastermind, to leading a shipwreck.
