Simms signs with the Broncos

After visiting with the Broncos all day, Simms has agreed on a two year deal with the club. He's expected to backup Jay Cutler, but there is a possibility that the Broncos could bring in another QB to compete for the backup spot.

The 28 year old left handed quarterback was drafted in the third round after attending Texas University. Simms started ten games for the Buccaneers in 2005, in which he threw for over two thousand yards, ten touchdowns, and seven interceptions. This way really the turning point in Simms career.

In 2006 he was the projected starter, and did start the first three games, but struggled after throwing seven interceptions in three games, the same amount that he threw in 2005, in ten games. He also reptured his spleen in the third game of the 2006 season against the Carolina Panthers, and hasn't been the same since.
